Nottingham is famous for its Independent Scene! With a variety of Restaurants, Gift Shops and everything in-between!
We’ve decided to name our Top 4 Favourite Independents in Notts! It’s been hard to pick these, but we think you’re definitely going to agree with us.
You haven’t heard of Doughnotts? Have you been living under a rock for the past couple of years?
Doughnotts is the brainchild of couple Megan Scaddan and Wade Smith. Back in 2015, the couple were down to their final couple of quid; according to them “The obvious thing to do is to start making and selling delicious doughnuts.“
Since first launching their venture out of “Mum’s Kitchen”, they have opened stores in Nottingham, Leicester and Derby. While we cannot confirm this number, we can only assuming that hundreds of thousands of Doughnuts are being produced by these guys every year!
2. Ugly Bread Bakery
Back in 2014, the Ugly Bread Bakery opened in the heart of Nottingham’s Lace Market. Serving a variety of delicious menu items such as Pizzas, Filled Focaccias, Salads, Cakes, Cannelloni, Coffee and Fresh Juices!
Fast forward 5 years, the Ugly Bread Bakery has moved into a cosy location on Carlton Street; less that a minute’s walk from their original venue.
The Ugly Bread Bakery really is the perfect place to grab lunch in the Creative Quarter! Personally, I’d recommend their delicious Pizzas which start for just £4.95!
